Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MyGolfCarts (“MyGolfCarts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, create an account, purchase or return a product, request support, or otherwise interact with us.

Scope

This policy applies to the MyGolfCarts online store and related customer service. It does not control a third party’s website, service, manufacturer registration portal, payment service, or delivery portal; review the privacy notice provided by that third party.

Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and identity information: name, email, phone number, billing address, shipping address, and account username.
  • Order and transaction information: products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order number, discounts, returns, refunds, warranty or parts requests, delivery details, and transaction status.
  • Payment-related information: payment method type, billing details, and payment confirmation. The payment provider presented at checkout may collect and process full card or financial credentials directly; we do not need to store full card numbers to fulfill an order.
  • Account information: login credentials in protected form, saved addresses, preferences, and account activity.
  • Communications and support information: messages, call details you provide, reviews, photos, video, product model, VIN or serial number, and other information submitted with a support, return, delivery, parts, or warranty request.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, cookie identifiers, and interaction data.

How we collect information

  • Directly from you when you browse, place an order, create an account, contact us, or submit a request.
  • Automatically through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies.
  • From providers that help us operate the store, process payments, prevent fraud, host data, communicate, fulfill orders, arrange delivery, provide analytics, or support customers.
  • From a manufacturer, carrier, or service partner when necessary to register a product, coordinate delivery, process a claim, or resolve a request.

How we use personal information

  • Provide and improve the website, store, account, and customer experience.
  • Process payments, accept or review orders, fulfill purchases, arrange shipping, and provide delivery updates.
  • Handle cancellations, returns, refunds, parts requests, warranty support, and customer communications.
  • Authenticate accounts and remember preferences.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity.
  • Maintain business, tax, transaction, and compliance records.
  • Enforce our terms and policies, protect rights and safety, and respond to valid legal process.
  • Send marketing communications where permitted. You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message; we may still send non-promotional order and account communications.
  • Measure and improve website performance and, where enabled and permitted, evaluate advertising or campaign effectiveness.

How we disclose personal information

We may disclose the information reasonably needed for a legitimate purpose to:

  • Website hosting, security, information technology, cloud storage, email, and customer-support providers.
  • Payment, fraud-prevention, financing, and transaction providers selected or presented during checkout.
  • Manufacturers, distributors, fulfillment providers, carriers, delivery partners, service providers, and warranty administrators involved with an order or request.
  • Analytics, advertising, and marketing providers, but only to the extent a related tool is enabled and subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or government authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • A buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
  • Another party when you direct us or give consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. Certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be treated as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. Where such law applies, you may request the applicable opt-out.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use necessary cookies for functions such as security, cart contents, checkout, account login, and preferences. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled, they may also use cookies or similar identifiers. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the store from working.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain accounts, fulfill orders, support products, keep tax and transaction records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of record and applicable requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Do not email payment card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive credentials to us.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing; to restrict or object to certain processing; or to appeal a privacy-request decision.

To submit a request, email support@mygolfcarts.us with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Describe the request and the email or order information needed to locate your records. We may verify your identity and an authorized agent’s authority before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

You may enable a Global Privacy Control signal in a supported browser. Where applicable law requires and our systems can detect the signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that browser or device. Other browser “Do Not Track” signals may not be consistently recognized.

Children

The store is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us to request review and deletion.

Phone numbers and SMS consent

We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information for third-party marketing. If we offer text messaging and you opt in, message frequency may vary and carrier message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Follow the opt-out instruction in a message to stop promotional texts.

Data location

Our providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, transfers are handled using a legally recognized safeguard.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. We will post the revised version here, update the date above, and provide any notice required by law.
